Bethany & Erik chose Park 31 in the Texas Hill Country as their wedding venue. We are grateful to work here often, but WOW was this one stunning. They opted for our Planning + Design services (read more about those here!), so we got to work together for months to build the perfect vendor team and perfect the aesthetic for these two. The results? We think they speak for themselves!
I had so much fun putting together mood boards and helping them to find an incredible vendor team that fit their needs and style. Every single vendor involved brought their A-game, and it’s so fun reliving every moment of this day.
The morning started with the girls getting ready, compliments of one of the best hair and makeup teams, JAX Studio. Despite Beth telling Erik ‘no gift exchange’ they came with a little something for their almost spouse. As soon as I saw these pictures I immediately texted Beth to ask what was the backstory of her gift – apparently Erik often borrows her phone chargers and breaks them or splits the end, so he sent her up one with a huge knot in it – hilarious!
Beth incorporated some of my absolute favorite textures and colors into her wedding design – pampas, velvet, and jewel tones! And YOU GUYS did The Vintage Bouquet deliver on this wedding. Everything was perfect: from the rich color tones to the ribbon details to the lasso made of entirely of greenery. I could literally rave all day about Ashley & the entire Vintage Bouquet team.
When it came time for the ceremony, I knew it was sure to be filled with emotions from everyone in attendance. Beth’s father had unexpectedly passed away about two months prior to the wedding date. With more resilience and strength than I could muster as a bystander, she walked down the aisle with a smile on her face to meet her mother & sister at the end of the pathway to give her away.
No doubt about it, that pampas arch goes down in history as one of the greatest of all time. Also I was definitely covered in it when my team and I carried it all the way down to the reception hall to serve as a backdrop for their sweetheart table. Hey, the things we will always do for our clients!
Following dinner the room listened to both hilarious and heartfelt speeches from each of the bride and grooms’ siblings, and from Erik’s dad as well. Then it was time for dancing (and also a little football, because #BAYLOR).
Beth & Erik’s wedding day was without a doubt one of my favorites that year. Together we laughed, we cried, and teamed up with some of the best in the industry, and got to do what I love the most…create memories and moments that will last a lifetime. Cheers to many more years you two!
