Nicole and Gordo’s summertime brunch wedding was what dreams are made of! We were so elated to see their big day (a long time in the making for this couple of 9 years) come to life with a design that we had the best time working on! If you love a neutral palette and lots of texture – this is your inspo!
In keeping with the brunch wedding theme, Nicole create this wedding weekend paper for all of their guests, and it was the absolute cutest thing! Because so many of their guests came in from out of town, they had events and celebrations planned all weekend long! What a fun group! Prior to the ceremony they offered their loved ones a coffee and donut hour, giving them all time to mingle and catch up with one another. The love that surrounded this duo and their family and friends was something we could have watched all.day.long.
San Antonio Wedding Venue | The Veranda
Nicole and Gordo chose The Veranda as the place to celebrate their union with their loved ones. With the beautiful, natural backdrop and landscape of this San Antonio gem, it paired perfectly with their design concept! We worked with one of our favorite florists, Blume Haus, and they made it all come to life exactly as we had planned!
In our design board we had shown Nicole this fun little bridesmaid fan, which she purchased off of Amazon for her girls (plus some extra for guests, cause hello, July!). Prior to the big day we gave those to Blume Haus and they made the cutest little modern, boho bridesmaid bouquets. We loved them! Also, would you LOOK at all the texture in the floral choices? Give us allllll the texture! We’re here for it.
These two married under a beautifully adorned arch with their family and friends watching. There was a time during the ceremony that they both thanked the other’s mom for raising their new spouse. I’m telling you – it was the sweetest day.

After they exchanged vows the two celebrated with our Scarlet Rose Collective champagne wall filled with a little bubbly. And there were mimosas, because brunch, obvi. 💁🏼♀️ And there were dogs – Sydney and Lola to be specific. These two stole the show, and we had the best time watching Anna Kay Photography capture their sweet puppy smiles. They were naturals!
Probably one of my newest favorite sendoffs that we’ve seen, and it was all our bride Nicole’s idea! Since they were having a brunch wedding ending midday, sparklers or glowsticks or anything of the sort would not be seen. Combining the need for another idea and their love of travel, she suggested a “well wishes” paper airplane sendoff and we were SO on board! Their guests filled out paper airplanes folded up at each place setting and sent the newlyweds off with their notes of love and encouragement. How cute is that?!
This was without a doubt one of the best days! From the design to the celebration, to the brunch food and details (omelette station, yes please!). This will be a fave of the year, no doubt! Cheers to many more years of love, adventure and travel you two!
